According to Wikipedia ,Geographic Information Systems abbreviated GIS are information system that manage specific data that have special information (special referenced). Or in a more narrow sense, GIS is a computer system that has the ability to develop, store, manage and display geographic information referenced, for example, data identified according to location, in a database . The practitioners also include people who build and operate, and data as part of this system

According to Kang-Tsung Chang (2002) GIS is a computer system for capturing, storing, querying, analyzing, and displaying geographic data.

And according to me, Geographic Information Systems is computer-based systems that can deliver geographic information.
